Blue Ribbon Givers Club

The Blue Ribbon Givers Club was introduced in the early 1980's to improve the ease, convenience and benefit of community support for advanced healthcare technologies and facilities at Corning Hospital. Membership in the Blue Ribbon Givers Club begins at gifts totaling $100 or more per annual campaign.

Each dollar donated to the Blue Ribbon Campaign is applied toward the purchase of the annually pre-determined piece of equipment or renovation project, unless otherwise designated for Other Funds by the donor.

In the past, Blue Ribbon gifts have made possible many significant improvements to our hospital and nursing home, including, but not limited to:

Blue Ribbon Givers receive many membership benefits including invitation to our annual Blue Ribbon Gala, a Memorial/Special Occasion Card Account (hyperlink), a tax receipt for the donation, and a certificate of appreciation.

Remembrances & Memorials

A Cherished Memory Lives On

For Blue Ribbon Givers Club members, The Memorial/Special Occasion Remembrance Process works like a bank account. Donations of $100 or more credit the donor's account with a total number of remembrance opportunities proportionate to the amount of the donation. At any time throughout the year, donors may simply call us to generate a memorial or other remembrance card, which we then mail promptly to their designee. We follow up with an acknowledgment to the donor, and publication of the remembrance in our weekly periodical, Healthworks.

We also welcome remembrance-specific gifts, in memory or celebration of a loved one or associate. Simply forward a check to us and include a note indicating the subject name of the remembrance, the name and address of the recipient of the remembrance card and a fund designation.

Very large remembrance gifts may be eligible for our love Tree Of Life memorial sculpture.

Tree of Life

Corning Hospital's Entrance Lobby proudly features the Tree Of Life memorial and remembrance sculpture. Its hand carved mahogany and cherry trunk and branches are adorned with brass leaves, apples and ovals.

You may choose to honor a loved one, commemorate a special occasion, such as a wedding or anniversary, or to recognize the outstanding care received by you or a loved one while a patient at Corning Hospital. Whatever the occasion, your tax deductible gift enables us to purchase life-saving equipment and provide needed services and programs, while keeping patient charges as low as possible.

Fund Designations

Gifts to Corning Hospital can be designated for a variety of funds. We encourage donors to choose the fund that best fits their need or desire. We also accept donations to any of our departments: Simply designate the unit that you choose (e.g., Pediatrics, Emergency Room, etc.).

Our fund designations include, but are not limited to:

1) Corning Hospital Memorial Fund (Blue Ribbon Fund)

2) Pastoral Care Fund

3) Edwin Ober Fund

4) Keenan Endowment

All undesignated donations are earmarked for the unrestricted equipment fund at Corning Hospital (Corning Hospital Memorial Fund). We accept donations of cash, check, stock and major Credit Cards.
